Alan Brazil Proposes Madcap Celtic Plan To Snap Up Manchester United Superstar

Celtic could consider making an audacious move for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo, according to talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil.

With the Portuguese legend keen on playing in the Champions League, Brazil suggested that the 37-year-old should consider making the trip north of the border:

“He wants Champions League football. Celtic? What if [club owner Dermot] Desmond sends his private jet for him?”

It’s definitely an off-the-wall suggestion, considering Ronaldo would need to be paid astronomical wages and the fact that he wouldn’t be keen on playing outside a high-profile European league.

His choices are narrowing, though, if he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer. The likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have all reportedly turned down the opportunity to snap up the player.

Ronaldo did make his first appearance for the Red Devils in pre-season at the weekend, playing in the 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano, and that suggests he may have resigned himself to staying at United, who have always maintained that he is not for sale.
