Bolingoli Mbombo To Start, Jullien On The Bench: Celtic’s Predicted XI To Face FK Sarajevo

Celtic face FK Sarajevo in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier tonight with some question marks over team selection.

The biggest dilemma for manager Neil Lennon will be whether to put his new signings in from the start against the Bosnian side.

Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo and Christopher Jullien are both in the squad, but it would be a big call to start both players in the back four.

Lennon will be without Jack Hendry and Maryan Shved through injury while Tom Rogic is unlikely to start after barely having any training following his rehab from an ankle injury.

In defence, it’s likely that the Celtic boss will go with the tried and tested centre-back partnership of Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic in order to keep things tight in the first leg.

Lennon doesn’t have many choices at right-back so Anthony Ralston is almost guaranteed to start. On the other side, Jonny Hayes is vying for a place at left-back with Mbombo.

Ryan Christie could make his return from a facial injury in an attacking midfield role behind Odsonne Edouard.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face FK Sarajevo:

Bain, Ralston, Simunovic, Ajer, Bolingoli Mbombo, Brown, Christie, McGregor, Forrest, Edouard, Johnston

Predicted Score – 1-0 to Celtic
