Celtic have held initial talks with former Norwich City and Borussia Monchengladbach manager Daniel Farke, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The journalist claims that the Hoops are “very interested” in the 46-year-old, although talks are not an advanced stage and English Championship side Leeds are also keen on appointing him as their next head coach:
Excl. News #Farke: Talks with @CelticFC! Celtic very interested in signing him as a replacement for Postecoglou. First talks took place. #CelticFC
Next option: @leeds confirmed. But not advanced yet. Could change next week.

Fans on Twitter are mostly against appointing Farke who they believe doesn’t have a good enough track record to take on the Celtic job:
This would be terrible.

What do we know about the prospective Celtic boss?
The German got his big break at Norwich following a spell as Borussia Dortmund’s reserve team manager. During his four and a half years at Carrow Road, he led the Canaries to promotion on two separate occasions.
However, Farke struggled in the Premier League. Norwich were immediately relegated after their first promotion in 2019, and he was sacked just months after their second promotion to the top flight, with his team once again battling against the drop.
What has Farke been up to since his spell with Norwich?
He had a brief stint in charge of Russian club FC Krasnodar before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine led to him giving up his role and returning to Germany.
A few months later, he was hired by Gladbach on a three-year contract. Despite a strong start, which included a 9-1 win in the German Cup, his team finished the Bundesliga campaign in 10th place, losing more games than he won, and he was relieved of his duties.
