Celtic Linked With Surprise January Loan Swoop For Manchester United Star

Celtic have emerged as surprise contenders to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson on loan. Reports In England suggest that the Hoops would be a realistic option for the 23-year-old, who is currently understudy to David De Gea at Old Trafford.

Henderson spent two years on loan at Sheffield United, building up his reputation, but he has only played three games so far this campaign for the Red Devils and it is believed another temporary move in January could be on the cards.

The keeper is reportedly in contention to be England’s number one but his lack of game time means that Everton’s Jordan Pickford and Burnley’s Nick Pope are currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

Playing away from the Premier League is not thought to be an issue for Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate so Henderson may well consider a surprise move to Celtic Park. There is, though, likely to be strong competition from English clubs for the player’s signature.
