Celtic are expected to begin talks with Liel Abada over a new contract in the New Year, according to reports in the Scottish media.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that a number of English Premier League clubs are interested in the Israeli international, who has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 24 appearances this season:
Premier League clubs are following Liel Abada for the future. Talented winger born in 2001, has scored 24 goals and also provided 13 assists in 18 months. 🟢 #CelticFC

Subsequent reports have suggested that Southampton are among the teams keeping tabs on Abada, with the Saints having a previous track record of signing players from the Hoops.
Discussions over a contract extension do suggest, however, that the Scottish champions are determined to keep hold of the forward, who was signed for £3m from Maccabi Petah Tikva eighteen months ago.
The 21-year-old’s performances do warrant a pay rise, although it should be noted that similar negotiations with Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis did not prove to be successful. Hopefully, the situation is different with Abada.
