Edouard Responds When Asked If He’d Ever Join Rangers

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has said he will never play for Old Firm rivals Rangers after being asked about the possibility of a cross-city move in the future.

In an interview with the Daily Record, the Frenchman was speaking about Ronaldo who played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. Asked whether he’d emulate his idol and would consider a switch to a rival, Edouard replied:

“No, never – it’s impossible!”

Edouard would almost certainly leave Scotland if he were to make a move away from Celtic. Reports in recent days have suggested that the likes of Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Atalanta and Sampdoria are interested in the player.

The 21-year-old has been in excellent form this campaign, having scored six goals in 12 appearances for the Hoops, including the opener in the Old Firm derby earlier this month.

Supporters will be hoping that Edouard stays at Celtic for many more years and cements his place as one of the club’s most celebrated strikers.
