Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama is keen on returning to Celtic, according to reports in the English media. It was claimed earlier this week that Spurs were open to offloading the Kenyan in the January transfer window.
Hoops boss Neil Lennon revealed last month that the Scottish champions were weighing up a move for the 28-year-old before deadline day, and many supporters on Twitter think the club should go back in for him when the window reopens:

Other fans are not so sure, with some citing Wanyama’s numerous injury problems over the past few years as a major concern:
Hasn’t kicked a ball in anger for ages.

Injury prone the last few years. Good player but would be expensive and in a position we’re well covered.

Nah! He had his opportunity.
I wish him the best though.— H C Holden Caulflield (@HughFClark) October 11, 2019
There’s no doubt that Celtic could do with the Tottenham star’s dynamism in midfield. Scott Brown and Callum McGregor are being asked to play too many games at the moment, but much will depend on how much Wanyama will cost.
Spurs may not ask for a big fee with the midfielder’s stock having fallen in recent seasons, but his wages may prove to be an issue.
