Celtic are reportedly in talks with Tottenham to negotiate down Cameron Carter-Vickers’ asking price.
It has been claimed that the Hoops have the option to sign the 24-year-old on a permanent basis for £6m with add-ons taking the fee up to £10m.
Although Carter-Vickers has impressed fans with his performances since moving north of the border, there is a split on Twitter over whether the defender is worth that amount:

A bit steep for us probably. But the Spurs thought process is likely to be that other teams have seen him play well for us and for them £6m is chicken feed.

£6m is nothing in terms of premiership (a sinful amount,don’t get me wrong!) However, if you want the right player, the price needs to be paid

We shall have to wait and see whether a compromise can be reached on the fee. Premier League clubs tend to place a premium on their players, and it is likely that Carter-Vickers will be in demand from other teams in England who could afford the price tag.
However, after the American’s success in Scotland, the centre-back is open to staying and, with manager Ange Postecoglou having confirmed that he wants to push through a deal this month, we should get some more news in the coming weeks.
