“I Do Genuinely Think He Wants To…” Anthony Joseph Makes Prediction About Postecoglou’s Future At Celtic

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph is backing Ange Postecoglou to see through his “project” at Celtic.

The Australian has been linked with English Premier League clubs in recent weeks, including Wolves and Leicester, but Joseph believes only a really high-profile team would tempt the Hoops boss into leaving Parkhead:

“I do genuinely think he wants to see out this project. He’s talked about that in the past with all his other clubs, and that’s what he’s done with all these other clubs. He’s seen out the project, and when he feels as though there’s not much else he can do, he moves on. I also think if he does see out the project at Celtic and the success level increases, does better in Europe as well, I think it’ll be better clubs than the ones named now that will be coming in for him.”

Postecoglou has never given the slightest indication that he has ambitions to move south of the border and all the signs suggest that he is intent on building a legacy in Glasgow.

Of course, fans are not naive, and they know that if a big English club comes calling for the 57-year-old in the future, it will be hard to stand in his way. However, having 60,000 fans behind you, playing in Europe and winning titles is not something you can get at many other teams so you would hope that Postecoglou won’t have his head turned by an offer any time soon.
