Celtic attacking midfielder Tom Rogic was excellent before a hamstring injury cut his night short during the 3-1 win over Hibernian last night.
The Australian international was particularly instrumental in the Hoops’ third goal, which was finished off by Kyogo Furuhashi, as the 28-year-old skilfully made his way past a number of Hibs defenders.
Rogic was in top form at Easter Road yesterday evening and, while some were concerned by the injury he picked up, most fans on Twitter were just delighted to see the playmaker performing so well:
Like a new signing this year @thecaddies7 👀

The difference when playing under a proper coach/manager. He flourished under Rodgers, hit a brick wall under Lennon and now flourishing again under big Ange. He's like a new signing #thewizardofoz🍀💚

Is that the best Tom rogic we’ve seen at Celtic?

And that my friend is exactly how he's tweaked his hammy.
The extra leg power needed when constantly being held and pulled back.

After the game, manager Ange Postecoglou was asked about Rogic’s fitness, but he didn’t have much to say on the injury:
“Tom did feel something in his hamstring. It’s wait and see. We’ll just assess it.”
Usually, a hamstring strain can mean at least a few weeks on the sidelines but, with another international break coming up soon, he shouldn’t miss too many matches.
Full credit, though, has to go to Postecoglou for reviving Rogic’s fortunes, when it seemed his Celtic career had all but come to an end.
