Celtic have made an enquiry for Sampdoria centre-back Omar Colley, according to reports in the UK. Despite only having signed Shane Duffy on loan from Brighton yesterday, it looks as though the Hoops are still pursuing another centre-back.
Kristoffer Ajer’s future has been called into question, with the likes of Liverpool and AC Milan having been linked with the Norwegian in recent days. Combined with Colley’s £10m price tag, fans are wondering whether the Gambian defender is being targeted as a replacement:
Must mean Ajer is on his way.

This would be a good signing, if Ajar is on the move a fantastic tackler of the ball don't know how the MIB would like his style.

Unless the Ajmer to Liverpool rumours are true there is no way this is happening. Late bid for Hickey, ditch Bolingoli and we’re done. Ralston and Rogic (sadly for Tom) being sold.

Ajer replacement?

Sell Ajer and bring him in. We then would have 3 solid defenders. Ajer was never a centre back in my opinion

It would make sense to some degree if Colley is being considered to replace Ajer. Celtic have reportedly slapped a £20m price tag on the Norwegian international and if a team matches their valuation, they could spend some of the proceeds on the Sampdoria defender and still have money left over.
Colley’s agent, however, spoke out yesterday about interest from English clubs. It is believed that West Ham, Newcastle and Southampton are also keen on the 27-year-old.
