Crystal Palace are likely to make a £20m offer for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard in the January transfer window, according to reports in the English media.
The Eagles, who have also been linked with Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos, have made the Frenchman the club’s top priority as they look to strengthen their forward line.
Palace’s top scorer is Jordan Ayew with just four goals this campaign and Edouard is seen as the ideal player to improve their threat in front of goal.
The English Premier League outfit do have the funds after selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United in the summer, but Celtic will not sell up unless it is a sizeable bid.
£20m is unlikely to be enough for the Hoops, especially as manager Neil Lennon has already said that the Scottish champions are light up front. Edouard has been one of the team’s main sources of goals this campaign, having scored 12 goals in 24 games.
