Reporter Suggests Celtic Star “Would Rather Be In The Premier League” As 10M Deal Hangs In The Balance

Celtic centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers has not made a decision on his future but he is leaning towards a move back to England, according to Dean Jones.

The journalist claims that the American international, who is on loan from Tottenham until the summer, is still waiting to see what offers he receives from EPL clubs:

“The player has not made a decision yet. It sounds to me like he would rather be in the Premier League if possible, but he needs to see what opportunities genuinely open up.”

Carter-Vickers was once again excellent despite the Hoops losing to Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final on Sunday, and manager Ange Postecoglou has already said he would love to keep the 24-year-old at Parkhead.

The Scottish side do have an option to buy the defender, for a fee that could reportedly rise to £10m, but the final decision on any switch will be down to the player.

With the likes of Leicester, West Ham, Wolves, Watford and Burnley all said to be interested in Carter-Vickers, the American will have to decide soon where his future lies.
