Celtic right-back Anthony Ralston was right in the thick of the action once again on Sunday, as he provided the assist for Giorgos Giakoumakis‘s winning goal against Dundee.
It was the 23-year-old’s seventh of the campaign for the Hoops; the second most of any player in the Scottish Premiership. Supporters on Twitter have been waxing lyrical about the defender’s performances this season:

Giakoumakis will rightly grab the headlines for his hat-trick but I really think @anthonyralston8 deserves a special mention. Got kicked and shoved all over the park today and still popped up with a great cross for big GG to get his third 👍🍀👏

Big Ralston is a superstar for us. In my eyes if he was in the shop window he’d be worth 10-15m. What a turnaround and proved all doubters wrong. Player 🍀

Reliable, Relentless Ralston. What a turnaround for the big man, was a pleasure watching him steaming up and down the park

Nobody could have predicted Ralston’s recent transformation. Many felt that manager Ange Postecoglou was using him as a stop-gap in the opening weeks of the campaign before he signed a replacement.
However, despite Josip Juranovic’s arrival, Ralston has kept on playing and deservedly so, with the fullback having been one of the most consistent performers in the green and white hoops.
His improvement has been massive, and credit has to go both to the player for making the step-up, and to Postecoglou who has put his faith in him.
