“We’ll See…” Celtic Star Raises Questions About 6M Transfer As EPL Teams Circle

Celtic loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers has refused to be drawn on whether he will sign for the Scottish champions on a permanent basis.

Multiple reports have suggested that the Hoops have held talks with the American’s parent club Tottenham about a transfer, but Carter-Vickers was pretty non-committal when asked about his future plans:

“I’m just enjoying today at the moment. We’ll see.”

No less than six English Premier League teams have been credited with an interest in Carter-Vickers over the past month, including West Ham, Crystal Palace, Wolves, Everton, Leicester and Watford.

Celtic do have an advantage in the sense that they have already agreed a fee with Spurs. They have an option in their loan agreement to snap up the centre-back for an initial £6m but the player must give his approval to the deal going ahead.

It has been suggested by The Athletic‘s respected Hoops correspondent Kieran Devlin that Carter-Vickers is holding out for a Premier League move and the 24-year-old’s latest remarks certainly don’t dispel those claims.
